    Here I have made it with green apple for a beautiful tang of flavour and prepared the porridge using rice milk for a deliciously breakfast full of the goodness of oats, fresh fruit and nuts.


    1/3 cup traditional oats
    1 cup rice or oat milk
    1 small green apple
    lemon juice, just a squeeze
    freshly grated cinnamon, a dash
    dry roasted almonds, small handful
    brown sugar, a sprinkle
    fresh mint

    Can use cows milk also.


    Grate the apple and add to a serving bowl, squeeze over a little lemon juice and grate a little fresh cinnamon on top.

    Place the oats and milk into a small saucepan, bring to a gentle simmer and allow to cook for 2 minutes, stirring.

    Once the porridge is cooked spoon over the prepared apple, top with dry roasted almonds, a sprinkle of brown sugar and a little pour of extra rice milk, garnish with a little mint and serve immediately.

    Eat and enjoy this healthy breakfast..
